I'm sure that when the officers complete their investigation of the officers involved, the officers will find that the officers acted within department guidelines, and that the officers are cleared of all wrongdoing by the investigating officers.

put a stop to this lone bad apple's behavior. Oh wait, that didn't happen.

Come to think of it, I've never seen that happen even once. In spite of the fact that cop lovers tell us all the time that the overwhelming majority of cops are good and it's only a few bad apple's that ruin it for the rest of them.
