No Jeb, We Don't Have To 'Reform Our Entitlement Programs.' Just Our TAX CODE, Idiot.

I'm sick of conservatives whining that our 'entitlement' programs are what's bankrupting our Government.

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/jeb-bush-defends-medicare-benefits-phase-out-comment-entitlement-120546.html

There are two things that are bankrupting the public purse:
1. Endless wars, and
2. Giving the rich a FREE RIDE on their taxes.

Aside from stopping the insane practice of fighting endless wars (unlikely at this point, since taking wars away from Congress would be like taking a meth-head's crack pipe away), there are three ways to fix this:

1. Fix Social Security by REMOVING THE CAP, and lowering the rate to 4%. (Or does all that Republican rhetoric about "lowering the rates and broadening the base" only apply to getting POOR people to pay more taxes?)

2. Eliminate the Deficits by eliminating all tax loopholes, and allowing people to only deduct a maximum of $50,000 using any and all possible deductions. (Republicans can hardly oppose this, since it was MITT ROMNEY'S proposal in the 2012 Election.)

3. Eliminate the preferential 15% tax on Capital Gains, and treat it like any other income tax. It's no coincidence that the top 1% have tripled their net worth in the last three decades since the Capital Gains tax was lowered, because only people who have "money to spare" can afford to play in the stock market. In 1981, when American billionaires used to invest their spare money in American companies this policy made sense. Today, with the rise of international investment, I see no reason for workers in American companies to subsidize American billionaires to invest in Chinese companies that are trying to drive American companies out of business.

What would happen to the wealthy? The poor downtrodden CEO's, The Poor picked on hedge fund managers? Poor dears would only have two mansions instead of three , Only one yacht instead of two , Heck they might have to eat local lobster and steak instead of having it flown in, What will they ever do?

A loophole is a tax credit or deduction that only the wrong people KNOW about, because the Tax Code is so obtuse that it can only be completely understood by high priced tax-evasion lawyers. (And my 'too obtuse to understand' I'm INCLUDING the IRS auditors. Most of the time all they can do is take one look at a 500 page tax return from a wealthy plutocrat, scream, pull their hair, and say "okay, just wave that one through, and hand me the returns from five REGULAR folks, that I can actually understand!")

of the GOP. His plan to extend work hours, while eliminating Medicare and handing over Social Security to Wall Street is just embarrassing, and would be laughable if it wasn't so serious and dangerous.
