All morning on Facebook there was this RW meme circulating about thr President not ordering the flag lowered in honor of the victims of the most recent killings, but His order to lower the flag is one of the first things I heard on the radio this morning... What the hell are tey smoking, or did I miss something?

(1,138 posts)The friggin "B" is next to the "N" and the "Y" is next to the "T". On this tiny phone keyboard typos are common but holy crap... that one was unfortunate...

(29,322 posts)posting the number of Marines that died over the weekend that equaled the number of victims that died and asked why weren't the flags flown at half mask for them. Ugh, I stay away from Facebook.
When I was in the military the flag was to be flown at half mask, according to regulations, for the death of a President, former or otherwise for 30 days. Vice President or senior official like Speaker of the House for 10 days. Outside of that varies depending for government officials or senior military officials such as the Sergeant major of the day from the early morning 6:00 to the end of duty hours 5:00 or 5:30 in Ft. Lewis.
