7. It means blessing. There are lots of iterations of it throughout the region.

For example, Muhamad Hosni Mubarack - former Egyptian leader -- the Mubarack is "my blessing."

Hussein, or Hosayn, or Hassan is usually translated to mean "beautiful" or "handsome."

So, the POTUS's name is, more or less Beautiful Blessing. It's a rather positive name, actually.

It was just amusing to me that someone asked "Barack Hussein Obama?". We must admit "Barack" is one of those names like "Cher" or "Sting" or "Bono" where the one name would suffice.

Funny, I know a few Osamas...but they go out of their way to call themselves something else, either "Bud," or "Sam/Sammy" or "Moe" or "Ossie." I don't know anyone with the "O" name who uses it anymore...it's like ADOLPH during/after WW2!
