Gov. Jindal: a woman is not a patient in an abortion, the "unborn baby" is

Right Wing Watch story here

From the article:

Jindal, who reacted to the phony scandal by launching an investigation into Planned Parenthood in his state, repeated his call to defund the organization, saying that it’s not a health care organization because when a woman receives an abortion she is not a “patient.”

yeah, nothing in common with a "patient".

hey, by that logic, when a woman chooses to give birth in a hospital, is she then a patient, or is she still just a vessel?

Pap smears, mammograms, and other such necessary services that many women can't otherwise afford. Abrtion is just ONE service, and it iusn't even offered in every PP location.

how can one separate that from her being a patient when such a journey is undertaken?

that he won't turn us, so there's no point in talking to us. Our people do the same thing. It's called campaigning, and it's not for education.

This is pretty much what you expect him to say-- and the problem is not with him, but with the people he's talking to.
