Had my own run in with some overly-testosteroned type a couple of years back, and I was too shaken up to get a license plate number or use a cell phone to call the cops when it happened, so there was nothing they could do. I ended up checking into the hospital thinking I might be having a heart issue afterwards (It turned out I'd coincidentally caught a stomach bug that day and was dehydrated.) and got tossed over $30k in bills as a result of my 3 day stay and all the tests they did.

I think the pro-flag crowd is naturally paranoid and attribute everything, including personal driving mistakes, to their worldview.

'Anthony Hervy pinned in ., gas leaking.'

that was being furthered throughout the weekend. I don't think the authorities and the newspaper should assume that her story is accurate.

steeped in a self-delusional culture that would have been at the forefront of her mind. Her claim that they were being chased by a car full of leering black men just doesn't ring true. Surely highway cameras would have caught pics of a carful of dangerous men harassing drivers WITH confederate flags and decals on their cars, and not just this one car, with 2 black passengers, that wasn't even adorned with the flag?

Sounds more to me like she was trying to explain away why she was with the guy driving - hardly knew him, but driving her car? Sounds like she was covering her ass, or his, or both with the folks back home.

I can't imagine anyone posting on Facebook while inside an overturned vehicle after being chased off the road. What I think happened was this guy thought he could swerve off the road without getting hurt and make it look like he was chased, but instead the vehicle flipped. If someone is willing to cut up their face and blame a black man (like that idiot during the 2008 election), then it's possible that some confederates would stage an accident and blame a car full of black men. That's just my opinion, but this story seem suspect.
