He takes a small hit, but the overall loss is negligible. Rush and his audience still hate McCain with a passion, hilariously believing he's a lib'rul RINO for daring to run against Dubya in 2000. Rush will assure them it's OK to trash a veteran in this case and that it wasn't that big of a deal.

All the FOX folks and rightwingers criticizing Trump now haven't got the memo from Rush yet since it's a weekend. This all blows over, as far as GOP voters are concerned and Trump only falls to second, if even that.

Thom Hartmann has a conspiracy theory that it's all part of a republican game that trump destroys bush and scott walker gets in. He thinks trump is doing all this to help scott walker knowing that his own campaign will eventually blow up.

Interesting theory . But, I think trump's ego is too big for him to do that.

3. Trump's ego is huge, but never forget how stupid he can be...

and how he can be manipulated.

He got thoroughly, totally, assed out in the Resorts deal, losing a bundle because he couldn't believe an old band singer was taking him to the cleaners.

He also never understood that he was being used as a pawn in the NBC deal with Rockefeller center. The dumbass actually thought he had a shot at getting NBC to move to the rail yards.

So, I'll buy that it could be a plot to destroy Bush, but if so it's someone else's plot and Trump is just an ignorant pawn being played.
