Certainly that is what our forefathers intended when drafting the 2nd amendment.
1 Man with 1 Gun has the ability to go up against a bunch of Marines, taking out 4 of them. We should be thankful only 4 innocents died. It could have been worse.
Perhaps the NRA is right. EVERY single American citizen should be armed at all times. Clearly that is the only way each and every human in this country will have a chance. And we should also make gun training a part of every high school curriculum. Everyone needs to be able to defend themselves against evil "lone wolf" gun owners. More good guys with guns will give us a fighting chance. Welcome to the Wild Wild West.
God Bless America.

I'm 100% anti-guns, just trying to show the absurdity that the NRA and other gun lovers often think with.
But seriously....the only way to resolve the problem given that guns are basically an American institution, is to essentially require EVERYONE to have one, and be able to defend themselves. Whether it's folks going to a midnight screening of Batman, to a Wednesday evening Church prayer group, or a Recruitment center. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea.
The alternative is to quit making a big deal out of these incidents when they happen. Because guess what....they WILL continue to happen on a weekly basis. Perhaps a daily basis in the not too distant future. It is what it is.
All this talk about what we can do to stop it is ridiculous. Clearly we are not going to limit or forbid gun ownership in any way, shape or form. So don't think about why they happen, because that's like asking why a drunk driver gets in a car and kills with his car. It's just a part of life, so get used to it, and accept it as a part of living in this great country.

(15,396 posts)I wanted something cheap for carrying while fishing, but mostly to carry in the vehicle to have something bigger than my EDC LCP.
So far it's proven pretty reliable with my reloads and hopefully it will continue to do so. Now for my "real" conceal carry pistol I carry the M&P shield.
As I always say...safety first.

We should take this to the gun forums. I hate it when guns are big news again. It means something really fucked up has happened and we have to see this in General discussion.
The whole business is a circular firing squad.
