And, if there are any new parents reading this, understand one thing... It is highly unlikely that your kid is going to want to go to kindergarten in diapers. When they want to start using the toilet, they'll darn well start using the toilet.

Until then, the Mississippi state flag will do just fine. If it's time to change it, then just toss it out and use another one.

They should use one from Michigan.

Or use a Joshua tree, since those are in the bible

Or - oh - a Christmas tree to symbolize their stand on the war on Christmas.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday forced members of Congress to vote on a resolution that would have removed all state flags featuring the Confederate battle flag from the U.S. Capitol.

Lawmakers ultimately voted along largely party lines to refer Pelosi's resolution to committee, where no immediate action is expected ...

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi's only black congressman is stepping up his effort to remove all images of the Confederate battle flag from the U.S. House chamber and House office buildings in Washington.

That includes the Mississippi state flag, which has featured the battle emblem since 1894.

Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson filed a resolution June 23 to remove Confederate images from Capitol spaces controlled by the House. The resolution was sent to the House Administration Committee led by Republican Rep. Candice Miller of Michigan ...

13. Governor Roy Barnes first changed the flag back in 2001

The flag was changed to reflect all the state flags in Georgia since the founding. Barnes was a democrat and pretty much lost the election over the flag issue during the next election.

Republican Sonny Perdue then held a statewide referendum on the flag, but switching back to the Confederate flag was not one of the options. Today the Georgia flag is Confederate symbol free, and has been for over a decade.
