New Jersey Is Fed Up With Chris Christie and Is Introducing A Bill To Make Him Resign

http://www.politicususa.com/2015/07/07/jersey-democrats-introduce-legislation-force-chris-christie-resign.html

New Jersey is fed up with Chris Christie, and Democrats are introducing legislation that will force him to resign if he wants to run for president.

State Sens. Raymond Lesniak (D-Union) and Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), who are expected to co-sponsor the bill, said they are fed up with Christie’s frequent absences from New Jersey this year in the run-up to last week’s announcement that he’s running for the White House. The bill would require Christie and any future governor to resign in order to run for president.

“He’s not doing the state any good by spending the bulk of his time out of state,” Lesniak said. “And even when he’s in-state, he’s focusing on what he has to do to get elected president — which often runs contrary to what he ought to do for the state.”

Christie has been out of state for more than a third of his second term and more than half of this year.

and his Lt. Governor to resign as well since she's an imbecile of the same cloth as Christie.

6. I wouldn't object to a rule that says if somebody is their party's nominee

they should resign any current elected positions. But I don't think that simply running for the nomination alone is enough.

That said, I think that trying to create the law after Christie is already running is wrong.

11. Well, they do have to spend a fair amount of their time in Washington DC.

That certainly qualifies as out-of-state.

that being said, I think laws that would make someone resign in order to run (before becoming their party's candidate) are a bad idea.

Glad you're here! YES, his ditzy Lt. Governor - the little blonde bimbette who jumped up and down applauding in front of his podium when he stepped up to give some speech shortly after the Bridgegate thing broke open and the heat was on. She's also the one who threatened that woman mayor (Dawn Zimmer of Hoboken) that no Sandy funds would be coming if she made trouble.

But yeah, force him to answer for himself. What's he going to do, blow his stack and yell at people?

I am NOT going to support THAT kind of shit for the next four year term. I wouldn't support it from a Democrat!
