Why does John McCain get a pass on his choice of Sarah Palin for his VP??

If ever his lack of judgement was on display, that was the time.

I saw him this morning talking about how we had the war in Iraq "won" with General Petraeus and the "surge" and was adamant that everyone agree with him. He was on a hearing on C-SPAN.

Since his Palin choice, I have a difficult time listening to anything the man says...

You're kidding, right?

Have you seen the things Republicans said about FDR throughout his presidency (including during WWII)?

Congress who feel that they have "gentlemen's agreements" with their counterparts, and therefore, to condemn red-blooded American man John McCain for his poor judgment would make a vulnerable Congressperson even MORE vulnerable due to 'payback'. That's, in a nutshell, how politics operates in DC, IMO.

Only half-joking here.

Only my far, FAR right wing relatives thought SP was a good choice and that was just because they thought anyone would be better than PBO.

That just goes right by somehow. If McCain misspoke no one calls him on it. If it is true then WTF?

I'm surprised he's still not embarrassed enough to even appear on TV after choosing her.

He gets elected in AZ, he has seniority, the media likes him. Don't watch. We can fight back by reducing the number of TV sets on when he is on and by complaining to advertisers. Since he is in Congress, the networks will say he is 'news'. I feel the same way about Trump. The media is making him. I have started watching more SYFY!! And Animal Planet is always a possibility. I bought a radio recently and am listening more to NPR -- great documentaries.

PS John has the same problem many in public life have -- an inability to give up the spot light. He has an important chairmanship, he says he will run again!

Sorry, I answered you with a rant.
