Like some creature that lives under a rock, Ann Coulter crawls out into the light of day on occasion to say something stupid, vile, or, usually, both. Since she has a new book to hawk, “Coultergeist,” as Keith Olbermann used to call her, is showing up on any media outlet that will host her bigoted tripe, which means she is appearing a lot on Fox News.

Coulter appeared on Megyn Kelley’s show on June 30, where she fired off several shots at Latino immigrants. The following day, an undocumented immigrant shot a young woman in San Francisco, so Coulter reappeared on the weekend version of “Fox and Friends” to claim vindication for her comments.

Americans were warned to watch out for possible attacks by ISIS over the holiday weekend, Coulter reminds everyone. Then she mentions the multiple shark attacks that have been occurring at Atlantic coast beaches in recent days. “I will bet you by the end of the weekend, more Americans will have been killed by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks,” Coulter says.

That’s a pretty low bar, even for Coulter, since there really isn’t much if any ISIS presence in this country, and as long as you stay out of the water, the chances of being killed by a shark hover somewhere around zero. But hey, now she can come back on Fox and once again claim vindication for something stupid she said.

I'm not in agreement with the SF "sanctuary" program, that guy should have been in jail somewhere, either here or in Mexico.

But a statement like coulter's just juvenile and asinine, like pretty much everything that comes out of her mouth.

We are in a full out war with ISIS and kill sharks to the tune of one hundred million a year worldwide. I think her connection and use of these two things is pretty clear.

I'm pretty sure that more people in America will be killed this weekend by left-handed medical transcriptionists than sharks and ISIS combined. Or at least it will be a tie.
