1. The Greeks aren't lazy. They were crooked.

There simply was no way to kickstart their economy with money because it all would have gone down a drain of corruption, cronyism and waste.
(What did the Greeks do when they got a list of greek tax-evaders? Redact some names!)

Sorry to say this, but the Greeks needed to realize that everybody merily evading taxes and the government balancing the deficit with loans is no sustainable model.
