anyone who is involved in such discussion should be led to the gulag.
It's like suddenly DU has gone Polygamy and Gay rights crazy.
Are outright racist now accepted on DU. My feeling is such discussion of said subject is based on prejudice.
Fucking time to move on from HATE.
It like minorities in America are not allowed finer things in life without some numpties going ape shit about it.

(11,461 posts)there are others who are not happy at the decision, which led me to my question. Are you part of that crowd that are not happy
outside of the LGBT community.

(16,184 posts)Marriage equality is not the end of the LGBT rights movement in this country. There are other important issues besides marriage equality that are of importance to the LGBT community.
Your suggestion we put gay rights on the backburner, therefore, shows your ignorance of the movement.

(11,461 posts)no point in pursuing this conversation.
Your initial post was this;
Samesex marriage is not the only concern of the LGBT community.
To which I responded because the statement itself is convoluted, which maybe done on purpose.
No point in beating this point to the ground. Have nice day.

(21,786 posts)transgender rights are a lot more important, really. (If the "T" in "LGBT" means anything, anyway.)

(16,184 posts)What I meant was the legalization of samesex marriage didn't mean the end of the gay rights movement.
There are trans* rights and employment non-discrimination, to name a few.
