I am sorry to inform you all that the 3 year old Texas boy who shot himself in the head last night has died. It has been reported that he was an only child.
"A 3-year-old Texas boy who shot himself at a Houston-area home over the weekend died on Monday from the wound, officials said.
The boys grandparents were babysitting him and had put him down for a nap. They later heard a gunshot and found the boy had shot himself, police said.
When they went in to check on him, he had apparently located a .380 semiautomatic pistol that was in the bedroom and had apparently accidentally shot himself in the head, Sergeant Ben Beall of the Harris County Sheriffs Office was quoted as saying by broadcaster KHOU.
A grand jury will investigate the case that took place in Spring, north of Houston, to see if anyone will face charges over the incident."

We mustn't let the guilty off. Make them acknowledge their irresponsible behavior and then make them pay for their criminal deed.
Anything less is a crime itself against the memory of that child.

(9,126 posts)This was THEIR direct responsibility if it was their gun. We keep letting these people justify it in their own minds that it was just an accident and gawd's will or some other bullshit. They need to be shown that they are responsible.

(100,076 posts)It's that simple! If you have a kid, buy a gun safe and secure your damn weapons. This can't keep happening in this country. It just can't.
