I watched this closely in the latest round of price increases. Oil prices on the CME went up a lot - and gasoline went up even faster in the last few months on the CME. It usually took a week or two for the increase to hit the pumps.

On edit - there was one station that reacted very quickly to the fluctuations. I expects their price to come down tomorrow or the next day after today's rout.
