Eric Holder: The Justice Department could strike deal with Edward Snowden

In an interview with Yahoo News, Holder said “we are in a different place as a result of the Snowden disclosures” and that “his actions spurred a necessary debate” that prompted President Obama and the Congress to change policies on the bulk collection of phone records of America citizens.

Asked if that meant the Justice Department might now be open to a plea bargain that allows Snowden to return from his self-imposed exile in Moscow, Holder replied: “I certainly think there could be a basis for a resolution that everybody could ultimately be satisfied with. I think the possibility exists.”

3. That must be a pretty small definition of 'everybody'.

Given that I've seen multiple people calling for him to be executed as a traitor, I don't think you could 'satisfy' those people and Snowden at the same time.

5. Interesting. I assume this would be a way to do nothing and say we did:

All fixed! Nothing to see here, move along! Thank you for your service, buhbye!

Making a deal with Snowden would be a cheap price to pay for continuing business as usual.

11. The original story came out some time ago. This is just a repeat of it. It's click bait.

15. No, I saw the story on another thread. And there is still no link so no bait to click.

Oh, how I pine for the good old Snowden threads, when every other day or so he'd make some outrageous remark about how our thoughts are being monitored or how the NSA operates a glossy porno ring.

But...those days are gone.
