Hillary Rodham Clinton made her first visit of the campaign to northern New Hampshire on Saturday, marching in a Fourth of July parade alongside dozens of her supporters and, for the first time since she became a candidate, being met by a handful of persistent protesters.
Mrs. Clinton walked in front of a large sign with her campaign logo at the parade in Gorham, N.H., and a group of supporters chanted her name as they walked along. People along the sidewalks called out Hillary! to her on Main Street, urging her to shake their hands.
But there was other chanting as well, from a tall man on the sidelines who carried a sign that read Benghazi with red paint stains on it.
Carpetbagger! he called out repeatedly, a charge leveled against Mrs. Clinton when she first ran for the Senate in 2000 (and not used much since). He was joined by a half-dozen other protesters who followed her along the route in the working-class area, trying repeatedly to get her attention.

(99,710 posts)He can understand everything you say to him, Nellie Bagli said of her 40-year-old son, Jose, who was seriously wounded in March 2006.
I can see that in his eyes, Mrs. Clinton said.
Ms. Bagli told reporters she lives in Florida and that the cooler climate of New Hampshire benefits her sons health. She is unsure of whether she will support Mrs. Clinton, she said, adding that after what her son had gone through, its hard to believe what politicians say.
Every morning when I get up I thank my maker for allowing me to share an epoch with her.

(3,732 posts)When I saw the title of this OP, I was hoping it would be about Hilliary being challenged over primary issues. There are a lot of real things she needs to be challenged over, and she's been very careful to manipulate her public presence and avoid being directly challenged.
Namely, I want to see her challenged over welfare policy. A big part of Southern Strategy racism is about associating black people with welfare, and that's allowed for the destruction of almost all safety nets for the destitute. I want to hear how her "ladders" work when people can't stabilized their basic needs like food and shelter.
Another thing I want to see her challenged on is her stance toward crime. Underlying #BlackLivesMatter is the prison-industrial-complex: that is not only the "new Jim Crow", but an incredible drain on our tax payer dollars. Three students could be sent to college for every prisoner we're putting away over minor infractions. There is bipartisan support for criminal sentencing reform at all levels of government, yet "tough on crime" political rhetoric is still effective with certain segments of the middle class (once more, it's usually code for racism) and it continues to undermine those efforts. I'd like to see Hillary come out for alternatives like Restorative Justice. Moreover, we need to stop funding the court system with punitive fines: that's a conflict of interest in sentencing.
Third, now that the TPP content is on the table, I want Hillary's support for that content challenged. The Democratic party used to be the party of Labor. I think a big question mark hangs over whether it still is. Politicians can't keep pulling a fast one with vague promises that they hope will mean one thing to Labor and another to Wall Street. Eventually that jig will be up.
Fourth, a lot of Hillary supporters have attempted to paint Hillary as the candidate of race matters in opposition to Bernie, yet when Hillary herself spoke, she made the dog whistle statement #AllLivesMatter. I would like to see Hillary challenged on whether she herself is running the "I'm the candidate of race issues" campaign and whether she herself has the gall to say that Bernie's platform does not include addressing race issues.
With all this on the table there is no need to bring in Benghazi crazies. Lame.
