Trump weighs in on San Francisco shooting.

PERSONAL NOTE: People are shot regularly in the Mission or Bayview and the news media barely give it a minute of their time. But when someone gets shot along Fisherman;s Warf, it's a national story.

NEW YORK, July 3 (Reuters) - A random fatal shooting in San Francisco, allegedly by an immigrant, proves the United States must tighten its borders, according to a statement on Friday by U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is facing heavy criticism for his comments about Mexicans.

Kathryn Steinle, 32, was fatally shot as she walked with her father along the popular Embarcadero pier on Wednesday in what San Francisco police described as an apparent random attack.

Francisco Sanchez, 45, was quickly arrested nearby. He is on probation from Texas, police said.

He has a long criminal history and has been deported to Mexico five times, according to local media reports.

"This senseless and totally preventable act of violence committed by an illegal immigrant is yet another example of why we must secure our border immediately," Trump said in a statement.

"This is an absolutely disgraceful situation and I am the only one that can fix it. Nobody else has the guts to even talk about it," the billionaire developer and television personality said.

See with the same amount of information, I came up with different conclusion. Just as viable and factual as yours.

for pretty much any reason is likely to be psychologically compromised to begin with. I would find it more important to dig into why he's not being or has been treated as mentally ill AND a criminal as opposed to an 'immigrant with a violent past" who's allowed to roam the streets.

Trumpie can't be bothered to address real issues like domestic violence, but has put immigrants in the bulls eye so he can rally those tea bagger, pro-white nationalists I guess.

- they don't exploit others' tragedies for their personal political gain

- they aim for voters not as easily manipulated as Trump fans "OMG an illegal immigrant killed a woman? NO DREAM ACT!" this is a serious line of thought thrown around breitbart's comments section
