Obama as usual spoke very well but I think this time his words about the heroism of this man Leslie Sabo were particularly touching, especially when he had all the Bravo Company vets stand up. You could see several of them crying openly.

I'm so glad they found his story in the archives. Killed while saving others in 1970.
Oman will be with Vietnam vets to remember the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War on Memorial Day - what a good looking young man/

It's a challenge to grasp all who should be honored.

It's not possible to ignore the dead at Kent State who protested with their lives against the expansion of the war into Cambodia as having acted in the best interest of the nation. At the same time it is not possible to see the actions of a Spec 4 who did his best for his comrades in arms.

Quite amazing story. I spent 2 years in the US Army during that era but never was sent to 'Nam.
