I dream big and vote practical. I hate these candidate sorting times on DU.

Nobody is ever going to be my "ideal" candidate in this U.S.A. political system.

I am a radical left wing socialist and environmentalist who thinks the world would be a much better place if the most extreme hard workers and busybodies stayed home most days to muck about in their gardens, with friends and lovers and children (or at least a few dogs, cats, or even rats) who adore them.

Most people who want to change this world from positions of "authority" and "responsibility" are the sort who can't be trusted with that business.

Don't ever tell people how you can make things better, or tell them what they "should do." Ask people what they need. If you happen to have what they ask for, and you don't need it badly yourself, give it away. Your time, your money, your stuff, anything.

What we now label "economic productivity" or "wealth" is a direct measure of the damage we do to our planet's environment and our own human spirit.

I think Obama is one of the exceptionally competent U.S. Presidents in U.S. history, neatly disposing of the flaming shit sandwiches Reagan-Bush Republicans keep handing him daily. It's much nicer to live in a U.S.A. with an extremely competent and intelligent Mt. Rushmore worthy U.S. American President, than some shallow Reagan-Bush Republican from hell. Republicans like Reagan and George W. Bush were the sock-puppets of Satan. (GWB's dad and Dick Cheney are more like Satan's favored blow-job interns.)

The Trans-Pacific crap doesn't excite me. I boycott most everything in our consumer society. I bought a new car once in my feckless early 1980's youth, but I won't do that again. 95% of our consumerist society is bullshit. I'll probably leave this earth found dead under a plastic tarp, or in a public hospital with other indigent lunatics.

Do you think I care about these poisonous Hillary vs. Bernie wars here on DU? No, I do not.

I vote practical in the election and that means I don't care who the party runs as long as s/he isn't as loony as all the Republicans are.

And the best thing for president I have ever seen is Bernie Sanders. Talk about a MT. Rushmore type, they'll have to find a new mountain just for him.

Sanders is the most environmentally minded person ever who ever had a chance to become president. No true environmentalist can not get out there and work their asses off to make sure he is elected.
