Why wont either Bernie or Hillary say "Black Lives Matter" ?

are there that many racists in our party?

(making edit now)

by are there that many racists clearly i dont mean either of them are, but that they need the votes of racists

I thought I read on this board that in the past couple days neither had said it, so either I need to apologize for not doing my research or I have read that here and it is the same old bullshit of each side attacking the other

I HONESTLY thought neither had over the past 48 hours but had both said ALL

It was a long speech where she said "Black Lives Matter" then at the very end, she quoted her mother again who said "All lives matter." She was just reiterating something her mother said years ago and of course the anti-Hillary bandwagon (AKA Bernie supporters) ran with the usual horse junk.

At a black church near Ferguson. The context was a story about her mother, but . . . someone should've known better.

It's probably a speech writing gaffe. But it's a doozy.

IMHO, there is nothing inconsistent in saying black folks are beset by problems not faced by the majority and black lives matter, all lives matter, and the least among us should be treated as well , and have the same opportunities as the most among us.

To suggest HRC or Bernie are racists is crazy talk... We are kicking right wing ass at the moment. We have them on the run. Let's not hand them a wedge issue to divide us...

Neither is a racist and both said the phrase in question. The impulse to inclusion has been accelerating in American culture for over 50 years. We have come a long way, yet we have so far to go. But the force of history is on our side. As you say, let's not be divided in this way.
