Never forget the pic of a tea partier, wearing a straw hat, with tea bags stapled all around it, holding a sign in their lap...."don't touch my Medicare". Next to another with a sign, "Don't tread on me". So conflicted they are.....

(30,481 posts)The ACA did bring us one step closer to the country becoming more comfortable with that concept. Republican politicians made many similar comments to this during the debate. Now that the country hasn't fallen apart, and millions more have heath insurance, people aren't going to be as susceptible to this type of talk.

(1,828 posts)Country. They take 15% of my paycheck for Retirement, healthcare, and disability. This is what they call Social Security. I have no medical deductibles or limits. I do have to pay additional for my dental plan, but extractions or oral surgery is fully covered under medical. I think it's a very low price to pay for peace of mind. Don't see what all the complaining is about.
