18. Watch it again. I think the black cop had him covered

the whole time. He jumped out of the rear car and ran out of frame to the right. He came back into frame, from the passenger side, as Roof was being cuffed. My guess is, he was talking to Roof and the other cops the whole time, while holding his gun on Roof. Roof cooperated.

9. Is the problem that he *didn't* get shot, tased, or otherwise

have the crap beaten out of him, or that black suspects so often do? I don't think anybody, even this guy, should be beaten or injured in the course of an arrest. The fact that minority suspects are frequently abused doesn't justify abusing anybody else. The way Roof was arrested is pretty much the way everyone should be arrested.
