1. Why?

Why wouldn't you want those who wish to fly confederate flags to be able to do just that? If they can't, there's no way for you to know who wishes to fly a confederate flag....

8. Amazon's policy is to sell pretty much anything that is legal to sell.

As long as they remain so open to selling any type of good without restraint, I have to oppose this effort because if you prevail it will likely result in all sorts of yahoos working to get everything from sex-education manuals, condoms, sex-toys and lube to "banned" books, R-rated movies, religious materials of non-mainstream creeds and any other content someone deems offensive pulled from the site.

I favor an open marketplace for the sale of legal (but offensive) goods as long as all such goods are treated equally.

And what am I wrong about, that there will now be a sustained effort by every flavor of extremist to have content they find offensive pulled from Amazon? I'm not...they've tried before and the "we won't censor objectionable content" was what Amazon relied on to rebuff those efforts.

I see this as a bad thing.

Their policy then was

"Products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual or religious intolerance or promote organizations with such views " are prohibited on Amazon.
