Matt and Sweat screwed up. It is only a matter of time until they are caught.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/22/us/new-york-prison-break/

Apparently they had no backup plan for what to do when their escape ride failed to show. And it appears that their survival skills are rudimentary at best. Or they are not all that smart. Or both. Because no way should you have to break into a cabin for food in June in upstate New York. And no way should they still be in the same area of the prison. They could have walked out of there and been just about anywhere by now.

Why is it assumed they had no backup plan? Phentex Jun 2015 #1

The article states they were masterminds and had years to plan an escape. Seems to me they had time to plan out many of the what if's. It also seems plausible they were using the tailor and hadn't told her exactly what they were going to do.

When you hear about the kinds of murders they committed, you realize you aren't dealing with any kind of "normal". i can easily see them surviving like animals.

Unless that was a "plant," which is possible, though I think unlikely, it means there was no backup plan. Because there is no way they stay in the area and break into a cabin for food. That is amateur hour. And if you are a hard core survivalist, you don't need canned food in June in upstate New York.

Hmmm....Either these guys are not all that smart or they found a way to plant that underwear to throw off the cops. I still think it is the former. There are different ways of being smart and these two may be lacking some basic survival instincts.

The Adirondack mountains, even in June, are not for amateurs. That's some pretty serious rough country, and without woodcraft skills you're screwed.
