They are right-wing and will vote in such a way that they think is advantageous for the Republicans in the next election.

My aunt says they will vote against allowing gay marriage and leave it up to the states. She said not to get my hopes up that they will decide in favor of equality, because she is 100% sure they will leave it up to the states and NOT legalize it.
I hope you are both wrong.
