... Democrats are people who care about other people and what is good and right and moral. Repukes only care about themselves, their power and their money and they don't care how many people they have to kill to do so or how many bodies they have to crawl over.

So, while Rachel is right in theory, in practice, it comes down to Democrats and Repukes anyway.

Many Republicans are not uncaring, but they are convinced that the market system is actually rewarding worthwhile people who make good decisions. The anecdotal information they have about generational poverty and dysfunction outweighs (in their minds) the growing, widespread evidence that as capitalism runs rampant it requires a bigger and bigger underclass that's starting to include their friends and neighbors.

Fox News and the Culture Wars keep them from seeing this massive shift.

My opinion only.

It's simply because every Rethug in this country is soulless, uncaring piece of garbage.

It sickens me because I know they care about me, about others, about what kind of world we are leaving to the next generation, about the death of democracy.

They are deluded by the siren songs of corporate money, absorbing television & radio "infotainment" as gospel.

They farm, they tend, they labor hard and they labor well. They don't work for Wall St, they have only ever worked locally, or for themselves and always for their neighbors whenever the need arose.
They come home and eat, feed the critters and sit down to watch a few minutes of news, all the news Wall St supporters feel they deserve to see.
Is it any wonder they are as deluded as they are? Sometimes it even makes me question if I am not the one deluded.

C'mon Rachel.
