to see this.

This is classic propaganda actually, going back a long time. Something about the reformation. And it is still quite big in the United States.

lady almost lost it when I told her I was well on my way, since I am Jewish. She had no idea what to do with that information. I swear she was looking for the hidden tail and horns.

They believe Catholics venerate Mary more than Jesus or God. It bothers them that Mary is so popular in Catholicism.

TBH I was never exposed to it as a child. Thought it was a relic of the early 20th century. Didn't realize the whole "Catholics aren't Christians" was still a thing in the US.

Were you once catholic?

I had some fun the other day. Had a jehovah's witness come by. He kind of ran out after @ 10 minutes then sat in his car for about 15 minutes. Think he was praying up a storm. BTW, I join you in the atheism.

The local Southern Baptists preached that Catholics worshiped statues of Mary.

The first Pope was tasked by Jesus himself to build his church.

Game. Set. Match.

I love Chick Tracts. I've had many left on my car and on my door.

My favorite:

you used to have to rely on finding random booklets left on urinals at highway rest stops. For a long time I thought the only one was the guy who has a heart attack in church and has to watch the movie of his life with God (just before he's cast into the pit of hell). That's a classic.Although I do remember the Halloween one where the local witches are poisoning candy and a couple about Catholics. Oh and the one about the devil giving little Johnny a doll to play with and "turning him gay". I've always wondered who left these things around. Better yet, who writes these? Some of the best comedy ever written. Did you know that the dinosaurs died out because of lower oxygen levels after "The Great Flood" slowed them down and made it easier for humans to hunt and eat them? http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1038/1038_01.asp That's astounding. I've got to go dig out my shortwave radio and listen to Unshackled! now. http://www.unshackled.org/listen_home.html
