Is this poll lying?

Posted elsewhere is a Monmouth University poll headlined "NATIONAL: CLINTON HOLDS STEADY IN DEM RACE ". The poll asks only four questions and here is what I found:

Question 1. I know the 2016 election is far away, but who would you support for the Democratic nomination for president if the candidates were:

Conclusion-only two choices increased in this poll-Bernie Sanders and undecided.

In this question only two choices lose favorables-Jim Webb and Hillary Clinton. Also Clinton and Biden are the only two to actually increase their "no opinion" percentages.

What I find in the poll is that Clinton is slowly losing support and Sanders is slowly gaining-I'm good with that. But if your poll supports this then so should your headline-otherwise it is just an op-ed.

4. Clinton's movement is within the margin of error.

Bernie is gaining, non-candidate Biden lost a bunch, in terms of %.

7. Yup.

3% isn't really 'movement'. Lose another 3% and I'll grant that she 'moved'. What I find more interesting is from where Bernie is gaining. It almost looks like he might be pulling from the crowd who wanted to vote Biden. I would have pegged them for going to Hillary once it became apparent Biden wasn't entering the race.

8. This far out from the national election a poll like this only measures name recognition.

Hillary Clinton has lots of name recognition. Bernie Sanders not so much. Joe Biden good name recognition.

It can be easy for us here on DU to forget that we are vastly more involved in politics and the political process than the vast majority of people out there.

No matter what we've got to work and stick together. Too much at stake with the infighting going on. A Republican dominated Senate, House, the courts, and finally, the POTUS to take total control. They are going to roll us back like Wal-Mart into the land of the Neo-cons.

All I know is I'm a confirmed Democrat since 1992. I don't care who the candidate is, the Neo-cons have to be stopped. We saw what they did to foreign counties in the name of Capitalism and protecting "freedom." Remember all those stupidly named military operations? Enduring Freedom? For who?
