'Bernie Sanders Draws More Supporters Than Every Republican Candidate'!

Bernie Sanders Draws More Supporters Than Every Republican Candidate as 4,500 Fill Rally

Actually according to Bernie's twitter acct, the number was 5,500. But regardless, he is beating Repubs everywhere he goes wrt to the enthusiasm and the crowds he is drawing.

?resize=485%2C320

Bernie Sanders drew a bigger crowd than any Republican candidate, as 4,500 supporters filled his event in Denver.

According to the Sanders campaign:

Thousands of cheering and chanting Coloradans – one of the biggest crowds for any presidential candidate so far this campaign – showed up here on Saturday night to hear Bernie Sanders tell them they were sending a message to the billionaire class that “‘You can’t have it all. This is our country too.'”

He's a political Rock Star now, as Bill Maher said. But he isn't letting it go to his head:

When the crowd chanted his name, Bernie stopped them. “This campaign is not about me,” he said. “It is not about Hillary Clinton or any other candidate,” he added. “This campaign is about you, your kids and your parents. It is about creating a political movement of millions of people who stand up and loudly proclaim that this nation belongs to all of us and not just a handful of billionaires.”

NOTHING can get done in this country until the money is taken out of politics so we can get real Representatives of the people, who are beholden to the PEOPLE.

Bernie knows this. It's like building a house, first you have to lay the foundation. Up to now, we've ignored the foundation and we've been building on sand, by supporting Big Money in every campaign.

We have to go back to the source of the problems first. THEN we can start getting things done.

No more obstructionism by those who are working for Corporations.

No more 'reaching across the aisle' to shake hands with the ENEMIES of the people.

Bernie Sanders points directly at the Republicans and BLAMES them for what they are doing to this country.

Imagine if we had a real government of the people?

We can have it but it's up to us.

I have a feeling he didn't really want to run for president, but saw the way things were going. There really is no one else who can do it. No one with the long record to prove he isn't just talking. Many voters have lost faith realizing that campaign talk doesn't result in action unfortunately.

So it had to be someone who has been consistent all of his political life.

They are trying, but it's hard for them since his record is right there to hit back with;

He is the right person at the right time.

Now we'll see if the people accept his offer.

Drastic measures, and several small political landslides are needed. Parties need to be reforme as well as the country, as well as constituent states, and several systems (public education, political financing, the banking system) need an overhaul.

Don't think that a win in 2016 is the end of your efforts. That would be little more than "getting the chance to work your behind off for the next four years while incessantly fighting a group of very sour losers".

Sanders has shown the power of a reasoned and to-the-point iteration of the main talking points. No need for big words and negative messages; just consistently showing who is hurting and why that is. - And what may be done to heal the sick nation.

'unelectable' is just plain stupid.

I was just told now that 'anyone could beat these Republicans, a cat I believe was the example.

I thought that was odd since just a couple of weeks ago, were we not told that it had to be Hillary in the primaries because Bernie could not defeat the Republicans???

It's interesting how the goal posts keep moving, I have to say, as he knocks down the 'predictions' one after another.

Glad you're here! You are SPOT-ON! We should all be screaming "Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote!".

+ a BILLION!!!

We ALL need to come out and vote, hopefully united as a party when it's time to vote. Behind Bernie, or Hillary, or whatever Dem is going to be our nominee. I don't even care. I'll actively support EITHER ONE. Hillary supporter but they're BOTH great! And if it's him over her for the nomination, I am SO THERE! Hey, last I heard, so is Bernie. He's already stated flat-out he's not going to be a spoiler, whatever happens. I believe him and I sure thank him for that! I think Hillary would do likewise if Bernie got the nod. She sure got behind Barack Obama when it became clear that he was gonna be the nominee.

We ALSO need to come out in MORE THAN droves - ALL-of-us because we not only have to win, we have to make sure it's not close enough to steal. Because with these bad guys we're up against, steal it they will, if there's even a shade of a chance that they could.

we were told that even if he got the nomination, he couldn't win the GE because 'of all the money' the Republicans had, iow he could not beat a Republican.

Before that after he announced we were told that the excitement of the announcement would be gone in a few days because 'people don't stay interested unless there is something going on' and, the theory was, Bernie would be forgotten in a week or so and we would be back to focusing on 'HOW TO BEAT THE REPUBLICANS' and that there was only ONE person in the entire country who could do that.

OUR argument was the one YOU just put forward, but it was dismissed. Republicans would Beat Bernie we were told.

So call this OP and many others, just ticking off all the wrong predictions one by one.

Btw, if ANYONE can beat the Republicans and their money why were people so worried about Bernie winning the Primary?

Still, it will be necessary to have a fast response to the inevitable lies, to confront them right away because propaganda sadly, does work.

great tool for, eg, following stories like the Egyptian revolution. I was following people who were right there and often knew what was going on before the news media.

Now I use it to follow the Ferguson protests, and there many, and for Bernie and the TPP eg.

Think about it. There are a lot of DUers there too, who are for Bernie. I see it this way, he won't have money for ads, the MSM isn't going to be helping him.

But WE can, by spreading the word as far and as wide as we can, and it is working. THAT is how people know about his events, people on Social Media are making sure they know. We are like his free ad campaign lol! It's something I can do, I can't be at all of his events, but I can still help to keep the momentum going.
