what he said so far doesnt matter. when his arraignment comes along, whether he accepts a guilty plea or asks for a trial is all that matters.

10. Doesn't SC have the death penalty? He also assassinated a sitting legislator.

If he enters a plea, I can't see them reducing his sentence in exchange. They've got him. It's a slam-dunk. They can try for the insanity defense, but it's clear from his writings and comments to his friends that he had awareness of what he was doing and knew that his actions were criminal.

I would expect SC to go for the death penalty, I'd be surprised if they didn't.
