To those who haven't seen it, he pointed out how Texas literally closed all abortion clinics in their state except for 8 clinics, and asked, what would happen if you closed every place you can get guns except for 8 gun stores.
Bravo Bill. I don't agree on everything but that was a good way to put it.

(597 posts)Those gun stores would get a huge amount of business, even if it meant that those wanting to go there had to drive long distances and spend more money than they otherwise would have to exercise their rights. Those who could not afford the extra time and expense would simply have to do without, like her.
Of course, this extra business could be cut back on if the Texas legislature passed laws for the sole purpose of restricting access to these stores in an unethical attempt to ban them in violation of Supreme Court rulings on the subject.
Of course, acting like that on any aspect of people's rights would make the Texas legislature (or any legislature) look like assholes...
