But, to answer the OP, yes I can believe it. As noted, they have to keep that base settled down. It's a long time before the election and there are a bunch of stoopid with their hats in the ring. Nobody wants to get knocked out this early (except maybe Jeb -- somebody needs to remind him who his backers are).

Fri Jun 19, 2015, 11:34 PM

I know it has never been what it should be, but before we elected a black man, I felt we were on our way to get this country past racism. I wa proud to be part of history in 2008, and had hope it was the tuning point.

But the hate they have demonstrated and this rhetoric do nothing but motivate the racist out there and it is only a matter of time before we have another incident. I pray it is stopped but fear the worst.

of jobs and homes. Families on the street, living in tent cities in a forest. The last thing they are ever going to do, is admit to being wrong about anything. They are happy about all the people not old enough to remember 2003 and again the general outrage by people. Repukes loved that war and their base feed off it and paranoia.

Their base feeds off their own billion dollar propaganda machine and it is always anti-black, anti-rights, cept the good rights. Right along side black people are women and the GOP need to control everything but pretend the love small government and want to protect the uterus by suggesting perverse methods to humiliate women.

It is like how much they pretend to hate one thing, but root it on and get caught and then 'oops'. 'That's not what I said' talk show circuit. Some don't try and hide it.

But I know that when I have been shut up with an elderly relative, and the only media that is on, blaring away in the background, is Fox, I find that within 72 hours, I am rather convinced of whatever message they are preaching.

When I am not in that situation, I find their spiel to be ludicrous. But the one-slantedness of it, the continual repeating of the One Big Lie, it does work on people.

It takes me three or four days to de-tox from it.
