"I never watch Fox News." I've heard it from conservatives before. You don't have to watch Fox News to be influenced by it. Your co-workers repeat the crap they hear, then others start repeating it over and over.

My suspicion is that he'll be found to be a sympathizer with groups but that he won't have had much to do with any of them.

The real question I'd want answered is, Why did he pick that particular church? Because of the senator? Because it was historic? Because it was far from home? Or did he just get in his car, drive, and stop in at a church at random--only to find that instead of killing the pastor or one person there was a meeting going on?

(I'm also a bit curious as to why he waited for a while before doing what he did. The Living Church of God massacre a decade ago didn't get off to that slow a start. Rage tends to act impetuously.)
