They just want to use up most of his contract before he quits on his own or they dump him

Although the media made a BFD out of his "transgressions", he kind of asked for it by wanting notoriety..and by embellishing more than he needed to..

The out clause in his contract was over 7 figures. If they could have fired him, they would have.

He's always wanted more freedom to do a "show" rather than straight news. It will probably not be worth watching, but if can hardly be as unwatchable as morning Joe.

He had the least gravitas of any network anchor ever. Even less than Connie Chung.
