Obama Won’t Sign TPA Without TAA ‘Path’ (Video) (Updated)

http://blogs.rollcall.com/white-house/obama-tpa-taa-veto-threat-trade-promotion-authority/?dcz=

Updated 12:12 p.m. June 18 | President Barack Obama isn’t going to support a strategy that gives him half a loaf on his trade agenda, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters Wednesday.

With Capitol Hill leaders working on a plan that would split Trade Promotion Authority from Trade Adjustment Assistance, Earnest made clear Obama will demand both.

“The only legislative strategy that the president will support is a strategy that results in both TPA and TAA coming to his desk,” he said.

This is not the article I saw yesterday, but does confirm part of what I remember.

The other part was that they are going to try to stick TAA onto some other bill (I forget which) to sneak it through.

7. So if the liberals are smart they won't vote for TAA

Combined with the conservatives who view TAA as welfare, the TAA would fail the vote.

Am I wrong?
