Whether the hate was racial, religious, or both. It seems everyone is automatically assuming the former but this is a church we're talking about so religious motive cannot (yet) be ruled out.

the victim's race than against the victim's religion, more than two and a half times more. Additionally, of crimes against religion, most are against Jewish and Muslim people, about 75% of such crimes are against those two groups, each of which has a relatively small us population.
