Jeb keeps Farm Worker Out of Campaign Kick-Off!
A band of five farm workers and their seven children from Polk County woke up before sunrise on Monday. They then drove over 200 miles to Miami Dade College, just in time to witness Jebs presidential announcement.
But that never happened, because an hour before Jeb went on, his security team informed the group they would have to leave the venue. Why? Because they might be a threat to security.
That's what Natalia Jaramillo, a spokesperson for the Florida Immigrants Coalition, tells New Times at least. Jaramillo was seated with the group and says they were booted possibly because of their matching shirts.
They targeted any group that looked like an immigrant group with no other reason or explanation than saying they had a yellow t-shirt, Jaramillo says. The children wore green t-shirts, the adults yellow and asked to take out everyone who had on a yellow t-shirt.
