Kids who are separated or estranged from their parents. A love interest who is, at first, reluctant but eventually sees the value of a relationship.

Okay, maybe Sam Neill and Laura Dern were a slight twist of that formula. But the other two were on the nose.

BTW, I saw JPIV. It was really worth it. Strong Blockbuster that understood its audience. And I have to say, that the monster that was supposed to be featured in this movie as the end all threat to humanity wasn't even the one that scared me the most.

I'm still pissed off at her effing white suit and high-heeled shoes that remained immaculate even after running through the jungle, rolling around on the ground and chasing giant lizards. WTF, right?

As I said, so glad I didn't pay to see it! Not that I would ever stream or download anything off the intertubes.
