(9,662 posts)seems like c span would at least pretend to be impartial

(153,212 posts)heck, plenty of DUers have done that too

(25,699 posts)A very LOUD fifty, mind, and by their own admission, generally a very well-off and well-connected fifty... but still.

(41,182 posts)non-Congressional programming has become mainly speakers and events from conservative think tanks like Heritage and Cato, libertarians and C-PAC events in the last few years. Even their Book Notes has become very narrow in topics and scope. I believe they covered Sanders Burlington Kickoff event, and a National Press Club speech last April although when I contacted them in advance they said no. I find we don't watch much of CSPAN in the last several years for these reasons.
questionseverything
(9,662 posts)hrc , they are featuring 3 times a day it seems

(41,182 posts)and CNN for breaking events. Otherwise it's alternative, independent media for us.

(5,069 posts)It had more than 11,000 views - more than any of the Republican challengers combined. Nothing since May 26....Lots on Clinton though and most of her clips are a fraction of the 11,000.....

(94,786 posts)If you were paying attention, you'd know that Sanders' kickoff speech and Hillary's kickoff speech were both covered, and that Sanders' speech in Iowa and Clinton's speech in Iowa this weekend were not.
Bottom line, the OP didn't do a minute's analysis before complaining....and neither did any of the people who chimed in.

(9,662 posts)going back thru the last 200....19 are hrc and 3 are bernie
we do not do selections and c span and the dnc are not going to be the selectors
c span is SUPPOSED to be a public service, which should mean every candidate has a chance to get his or her message out, afterall they are our airwaves

(9,662 posts)WE THE PEOPLE expect equal coverage for all candidates

(21,220 posts)That might be a reason it is leaning more to the right in regards to airing of content.

(50,983 posts)We used to listen to Washington Journal every morning.
It became clear that they were biased in favor of the right/establishment. The hosts would continually quote The Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal.
Apparently leftish sources were considered unworthy. I never heard a peep from left leaning sources while right leaning sources were continually quoted.
IMHO C-Span was created as a vehicle to convey the establishment's propaganda. They also filter calls to prevent some POV from being shared.
