Thought Sarah Palin was bad? Alaska is now paying oil companies to take our oil

We been assaulted by the Koch's here in Alaska with our GOP leaders actually working for conoco phillips, they have written a tax structure which has us paying more in tax credits to oil companies than we make in revenue.

They are cutting education, tried to cut state worker raises, won't expand health care all because of money, meanwhile they are breaking the law giving away excessive amounts of tax credits.

The law says that 10 percent of production revenues should go into the fund, from which tax credits are paid.

The gap between the statutory requirement of $91 million and the expected total of $700 million in 2016 credits should create a bipartisan opportunity for compromise on the budget, according to House Democrats, but the Republican-led majority didn't see it that way.

Appearing on the statewide public radio program “Talk of Alaska,” House Democratic leader Rep. Chris Tuck said the legislative majority has taken conflicting positions on formula programs -- it reduced the amount for education in the base student allowance while refusing to trim oil tax credits to get closer to the 10 percent target in state law.

“I don’t like the fact that we’re ignoring the statutes for the base student allocation for public education,” he said, while going far beyond “what our limits should be in paying out those oil tax credits.”

I can't believe this hasn't made national news because these people are just open criminals. Besides the oil tax credits, they are wasting all kinds of money on boondoggles no one wants, and are very willing to take federal money for that.

They just built themselves a glass palace in Anchorage for their meetings but keep complaining to Alaskans that we don't understand the financial situation.

This legislature created the budget crisis by giving our revenue away to their conoco bosses, so that they could use it to dismantle every democratic program they can think of. They are sick and twisted bastards.

They even had a huge battle passing Erin's law, because with this crowd, the need to protect child molesters is controversial.

So anyway, public pressure on social media worked to save the bears in Anchorage (that were acting badly to do people failure)...

The legislature finally passed a budget...now is the time for public pressure on Governor Walker to veto the excessive illegal tax credits
