BY CHARLES P. PIERCE
It's exactly that big.
A week or so ago, we noted that Scott Walker, the goggle-eyed homunculus hired by Koch Industries to manage their midwest subsidiary formerly known as the state of Wisconsin, had been fired from his own development commission which, like so many of the things Walker has touched in public life, had turned into a rat's nest of patronage, deceit, and petty corruption. That story just keeps on getting better. At issue now is a $500,000 loan that the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation gave to a Milwaukee construction company with close ties to Walker's campaign and administration. This requires you to believe that the two aren't simply one political entity, but play along. Naturally, as with all things Wisconsin these days, we are dealing with the greasiest skids possible.
Documents, of course, have gone missing. Financial reviews, of course, were not done. Scott Walker's nascent presidential campaign is about doing for the nation what he's done for Wisconsin. (Reliable reverse barometer Jen Rubin thinks he's lookin' right presidential these days.) Just sayin'.
