WTF? George W. Bush more popular than Obama: CNN poll

Washington (AFP) - Former US President George W. Bush is now more popular than his successor Barack Obama, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday.

The survey said 52 percent of Americans polled have a favorable opinion of the former Republican president who was in office between 2001 and 2009, while 49 percent share a similar feeling about the man currently in the White House.

It took nearly a decade for Americans polled to warm towards Bush, who led the United States during the September 11, 2001 attacks and launched two wars in its aftermath.

Among former presidents, George HW Bush and Bill Clinton have highly favorable ratings of 64 percent.

The views of past presidents will likely be increasingly important in America as two political families look to field a candidate in the 2016 presidential elections.

fade faster. A curious phenomenon, but a phenomenon nonetheless.

Hate is energy intensive.

Note how Nixon's image is being cleaned up by time, and how we tend to forget that Carter and Ford were ineffective as Presidents.

As we get further from his term, he will look amazingly good.

If you put Dubya back in office his approval ratings would plummet back to where they were when he left.

And corporate media lets themselves be used to do it every time. Gladly. Bigger bonuses if they can keep public distracted with faux Dem scandals while protecting Bushes and their fascist agenda.

With all the lying and revisionist history going on, he may be right.
