JEB: "...if they can’t identify people that committed crimes, there may be a reason...I don’t know.”

“The new law …just simply says they have to keep business records. There’s no – they may not even have to keep the records that would help us be safe,” Bush said. “So it’s possible that this could end up being a disaster. It’s still a work in progress. I hope the Senate has amendments.

“I don’t see any shred of evidence that anybody’s civil liberties are being violated,” Bush said.

He dismissed the notion that further prosecutions were necessary for financial crimes that helped trigger the 2008 financial crisis.

“If people committed crimes, fine,” Bush said. “We’re in year six of the recovery, and if they can’t identify people that committed crimes, there may be a reason for it. I don’t know.”

He just admitted we had six years of recovery. Poor Jeb. He unconsciously blames his brother for the fact he'll never be president, and they catch him every time he makes an unscripted comment.
