Police biker thug was a OWS infiltrator...

An undercover New York City police detective accused of being one of 11 motorcyclists who assaulted a driver in Upper Manhattan testified on Tuesday that he became frightened for his own safety when he saw the man being pummeled and fled instead of intervening to help him.

-snip-

The detective, who is married with two children and lives in Long Island City, Queens, said he had been an undercover officer for more than six years. He worked first on narcotics cases, making more than 250 drug purchases. More recently, he was assigned to infiltrate the Occupy Wall Street movement for the Intelligence Division.

Instead of tracking down the people who stole billions, he works to track down the people who noticed.

The guy's actions with the motorcycle gang show why the NYFD are referred to as the city's bravest.

It's got the makings of an SNL skit except it's too sad, too serious and too fucking scary.

He asked why Detective Braszczok, who was trained as a paramedic, did not wait for “the police cavalry to arrive” and why he never gave Mr. Lien first aid. One video shows the detective leaving on his motorcycle about 10 seconds after Mr. Lien went down.

“Is that what you’re trained to do as a police officer? Run?” Mr. Steinglass said.

“If you feel unsafe, yes,” the detective answered.

Technically, you can still post in old threads, they just don't pop up back to the first page.

It's an interesting read, seeing people respond knee-jerkily when information was scarce.
