(AUSTIN COUNTY) -- The case against a Washington County veterinarian who killed a cat with a bow and arrow and posted the photo to Facebook will not be presented to an Austin County Grand Jury today.

The Austin County District Attorney's office says they are actively pursuing statements, records and all other available evidence and information pertaining to the case before they present to the Grand Jury.

Her license to practice has yet to be revoked.

She lost the job she had when it happened. Haven't heard a peep about what she's doing now.

and many members have contacted the licensing board, the DA, as well as arranged protests. Unfortunately nothing has happened so far and I'm afraid it won't. Ms. Lindsey comes from means, her mother is politically connected and unbelievably, she has supporters. The group "Justice for the cat killed by Kristen Lindsey" is gaining momentum, not giving up and the page is followed by people from all over the world.

Whether there is justice or not, this group plans on following Ms. Lindsey wherever she goes to make sure people never forget the sick, cruel crime she committed.

The cat was someone's pet. An elderly couple's, if I remember correctly.

You don't brag about killing someone's pet and expect people to forget it quickly.

Vet got a good lawyer. She may have even paid a settlement to the cats owners to make it go away.

A Vet even a cruel, calus Vet can always find work in rodeo, or slaughterhouse or research lab or Gov. wildlife 'culler'

You might want to check that group on occasion to find updates. I believe that the next grand jury meeting will be towards the end of June. Please send me a PM so that I can remember to send updates. I believe that my last post was in the May 27-28 range. I also follow the Brenham Banner-Press since I lived there in 2012 and 2013. I should be able to stay on top of the story within a 24 hour news cycle range.

when the Austin County jury met on May 27 there was no indictment and there has been no action by the state board on her veterinary license.
