With the media dodging Bernie Sanders as they refuse to report about the thousands that wait in line to hear him speak.
The media will not repeat his message and if they happen to report something they label Bernie the Socialist and not Democratic Socialist.
On the other hand Hillary tries to confirm her stance as a "liberal" and associates herself with the FDR legend and reporters are all over it.
There are members here that would not vote for Bernie if he won the nomination because he is too far left.
That statement has been made many times her on DU.
So really Have we become a Corporate, Wall Street owned society and the Corporate mafia has to approve of our elected officials or they don't get "appointed" ?
I live in a red state and a red county and red township. If I put up yard signs to support Democratic candidates, there is a big chance they will get destroyed.
I'm putting up a Bernie Sanders sign and wondering how long before the Tea Baggers tear it down

He wouldn't be my choice - but I'll be damned before I'd be a petulant brat and sit home and give the White House to an asshole like Walker or pampered little boy like Bush.
Not gonna do it.

A massive revolt against the status quo at the ballot box and Bernie gets in.

If that to you is a center left position then no.

(6,994 posts)a person running for an elective office needs the corporate money and approval if they should hope to win than yes we are a corporate
society.
Take a look at where the bulk Hilary's contributions are coming from
Now look a the right wing Republican side.
Which ever candidate is approved by the Koch Bro's and Adelsons and other billionaires will win their parties nomination (appointment)
If common working class people cannot support their candidate monetarily enough to give that candidate a chance to win and we have to compete with a corporate society to have fair elections then yes we have lost our way and our Democracy is in shambles.
