And yet . . . he won the Republican nomination pretty handily. In all those months of first one flavor of the month (T Rump, Bachmann) and then another (Perry, Santorum), the major media didn't bother to put this guy on the spot even once? We're just a bunch of wonks with internet access, Mr. Klein; where have the millionaires who are supposed to bring us the news been on this?

The intelligence, honesty, courage, etc. of the public, or at least Republicans, were not respected traits for the GOP nomination. Nor for their voters.

The Teabaggers running the GOP are only brave when in a mob shouting down someone who can't fight back. Their intolerant emotional ravings show deficits in reasoning and maturity.

So they probably gave it up as hopeless, like talking to a fence post, but may be heartened by seeing the tide turning back to sanity in this country.
