How often does Tim Carney (or any other spokesperson for that matter) go on a program with a prior arrangement to talk about topics A, B and C, and then hijack the conversation to go somewhere else? Carney was clearly trying to avoid talking about the subjects he had agreed to go on to talk about, and Hall wasn't having any part of it. But I wonder how many times someone like Carney is successful in diverting the interview into a whole 'nother channel and the host just sits there?

If my observation of certain talking chuckleheads yields any clue, I'd say it happens every time a spokesperson comes on, talks over the host, and then hits all the points he wanted to while the host sits there mute, finally blathering some crapulous pleasantry when the time for the segment is up, and none of the previously-agreed topics ever got aired. You see that often enough, that it's astonishing to see Hall shut Carney down, and end the segment without letting him re-direct the conversation.

and you'll see just how successful Carney and others of his ilk are. It's almost like an unwritten agreement since frank luntz began coaching these dweebs on how to tackle show hosts and steer the interview in a direction favorable to the thug point of view. When they still won't give, talk about "liberal media conspiracies" and all such sorts of blather to stun the host into shutting up so that they can get luntz's talking points out.

When he said "bringing up" [the scissors attack] as if she tricked him or lied to him it set her off. And it gave her the opportunity to call him on the BS and say in effect 'you knew what this was going to be about but now you are whining, lying and name calling, good bye.'

I look for team Romney to continue to cry about the 'liberal media' whenever Romney gets caught in his lies and flip flops.

You interpreted that based on the use of "sister". As a "sister" myself, I don't see anything wrong if they did mention her race or the usage of "sister." There are not many Black newscasters on MSNBC. Tamron is one of three---I'm counting the girl that rarely fills in for Rachel's show. I remember when Mika wrote her book; she never mentioned Tamron as someone she even interviewed as part of the struggle of being a female newscaster. It's doubly worse when it's one of color. They rarely get real popularity. I'm glad she's getting some love now.

The man invited to come on the show decided to act very unprofessional and not bother to answer the question or even take it seriously. To the point he started attacking the style of reporting and actually the reporting from MSNBC. This is not the first time and each time they have done this in the past the MSNBC anchors allowed it to happen to effectively derail any and all substantiative talk. I didn't see it as unprofessional. Considering I saw reacting to an unprofessional guest.

Some people simply can't wait to blow their cover.

And so you stop making the same mistake again and again, she is not an anchor. She is a host of her show which is not the same thing, so it might serve you well to stop being ignorant of that. She has the right and the duty to shut someone up who breaches their agreement with her. A true professional holds others to their promises or shuts their mike down. The guest insulted her and MSNBC and then tried screaming over what she was saying. He deserved being cut off. A professional would know that.
